The Winter Tennis Facility
Welcome to the Dome!
Each October two domes are erected to cover five tennis courts so our members can enjoy playing tennis year-round. Besides the five courts, the Dome houses the Tennis Pro Shop and has limited fitness equipment available for use.
Please consider the following rules and regulations when using the dome tennis facility.
Entrances/Exits:
Always use the revolving door (leaving the door with all four wings touching to conserve heat). If it is ever necessary to leave through the emergency doors, stand back and let the pressure release (a strong initial gust of air) before exiting. In bad weather please enter the dome area through the side walk between the two domes with caution as the entrance becomes very icy.
Court Etiquette:
- Do not walk behind people while they are playing; wait until the point is over.
- Never hang or pull on divider curtain.
- Never use ball hoppers to pick up tennis balls along the perimeter of the Dome, the yellow cords or electrical boxes. Use your racquet or hands.
- Only 3 balls per court, unless special arrangements are made ahead of time.
Fitness Equipment:
- Ask for instructions at the desk on your first visit.
- Limit use to a half hour per machine, unless no one is waiting.
- Persons under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or get special permission ahead of time.
Tennis Registration and Guest Fees:
Please register in the Pro Shop when entering the Dome. A specific court must be assigned to all players. Members must register any guests before play commences. Tennis guest fees are $15.00 per hour for singles and $18.00 per one-and-a-half hours for doubles. Only one guest per group will be allowed unless there is a special event or permission is given from the Tennis Director. A guest is limited to playing 5 times during the winter season.
Court Reservation:
For best court availability, call the Pro Shop no more than 7 days in advance to reserve a court. You may also reserve courts online at: http://web.foretees.com/elmcrestcc/. The reserved court will be forfeited if the persons reserving the court are not available for play within 10 minute of the starting time reserved. Singles and Doubles are limited to 1 1/2 hours.
Adult Preference Times
Monday - Friday 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Saturday 8:00a.m. - 9:00p.m. - No Junior or Guest Play
Saturday and Sunday 1:00-6:00 p.m.
